An elegant and seductive perfume of white peach, ginger, and dried sage ascends to a rush of Asian pear, lemon marmalade, and tropical lychee flavors. Crushed chalk minerality and brioche like toastiness emerges and the wine opens. Delightfully balanced with bright acidity and a rich, full bodied mouth feel. A Sauvignon Blanc that will age beautifully.
McGah Vineyard encompasses 65 acres in Rutherford near the Silverado Trail. The area is hallowed ground from Cabernet Sauvignon, however the vineyard maintains several small parcels of Sauvignon Blanc. Harvested from Block 7 planted with the famous To Kalon clone. Twenty year old vines farmed to less than four tons per acre, yields typically not seen with Sauvignon Blanc
